Here is a personal list of my top 5 favorite heroes from the Marvel Universe.

1. – Thor

Thor Odinson is and always has been by far my number one favorite comic-book character of all time from both universes. My entire life I knew that I was different than everyone else, and this applied to when I was a kid as well. When I was little, everyone was really into superheroes. The subject would always be brought up and people would always ask each other who their favorite superheroes were. The most common answers were Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and other big names that even the young children knew about. I think that’s where my unique personality kicked in initially. Sure I liked those popular guys as well, but I always ended up with choosing Thor over everyone else. And most kids at that age didn’t even know who he was half the time. They would be surprised by my pick and I’d just smile and tell them how awesome and powerful he is. I’ve always been that way though. I always go with my personal opinions rather than popularity influencing my decisions. I love all aspects of the character Thor; especially his story, his proud and cocky personality, his world of Asgard and how it connects to the Nine Realms, his strong appearance, his godly powers, and his hammer MJOLNIR, the best weapon ever. He’s one of the strongest superheroes out there, yet not many people knew of him until the recent exposure in the film industry. 2. – Spider-Man

Second on my list is Spider-Man. I’ve always liked him the most out of the popular group of superheroes. I like everything about him as well. I feel like his agility and evasiveness suits me very well in terms of comparison if I had powers. One of the best things about Spidey is all of the appealing villains he faces over and over. I really enjoy the battles he has with them. I’ve always loved Spidey and the show Spider-Man: The Animated Series back in the 90′s was, is, and always will be my favorite cartoon of all time. Also, I tend to use him in video games such as Marvel vs. Capcom and Street Fighter Online when I was big into them. He’s a really good character to use in those games. 3. – Silver Surfer

Now here’s one of the coolest characters of all time. With his control over the cosmic powers, he is arguably one of the strongest characters out there. He faces some of the most powerful entities in the universe. His morals and physique make him stand out from a lot of guys. And what’s not to like about a guy who travels on a surf board fighting evil! Check out his Marvel Universe Wiki page here.

4. – Gambit

Gambit is my favorite X-Men by far. I put him 4th on my list because I really like his personality and his ability to charge things into kinetic energy and use them as weapons is really sick. He’s just a really cool character. I grew fond of him from the X-Men: The Animated Series show in the 90′s which I was addicted to back then. Here’s his Marvel Universe Wiki page for more info.

5. – Deadpool

Now before you tell me Deadpool isn’t a hero, I KNOW. I decided to put the merc with a mouth in this category because 1) he’s in the middle in terms of good/bad, and 2) there’s too many awesome villains out there for me to include him with them in my future villains list. Sick powers, funny attitude, he’s got guns and swords and sweet gadgets such as teleportation. Here’s more info on him.
