Last Friday, I posted my top 5 Marvel Heroes list, and today, I’ll be sharing my Top 5 Villains list. If you didn’t get a chance to see who my favorite heroes are, check it out HERE.
Choosing from such notable villains and ordering from one to five was very difficult for me to do. My notables list is fairly long because there’s just so many badass villains out there. I always think to myself I’d hate to be one of these evil guys, but you gotta love them. Here are my personal favorite villains from the Marvel Universe.
1. – Red Skull
I had a tough time deciding between him and Loki for the number 1 spot. I really just love Red Skull vs. Captain America, Germany vs United States set during World War II. They are two completely contrasting characters that go well against each other. The story, conflict, time period, etc is really appealing. He’s one of the toughest villains for Cap due to his wickedness, greed for power and destruction, and his vast intelligence. I really like his constant interest in the Cosmic Cube. 2. – Loki
Can’t have a Top 5 Villains list without Loki, especially since my favorite hero is Thor, his rival. I really like their rivalry ever since I was little. The God of Mischief certainly holds up to his name. He uses trickery, deception, and his mastery of magic to constantly combat Asgard and his brother Thor. Check out his full bio HERE.
3. – Thanos
By far the most powerful villain out of the 5 in my top list. Thanos is a newly discovered, and when I saw new I mean that I didn’t know who he was when I was a kid, favorite villain of mine. I’ve really grown to like this villain’s story, personality, and his power. His sheer power is on par with the best in the universe. I find his obsession with death appealing, and I like the heroes he interacts with and fights against while seeking control and powerful items such as the Cosmic Cube and the Infinity Gauntlet, probably my favorite item ever. I have to buy the Thanos Imperative comics because I know I would love them. Click this LINK for more information on him.
4. – Doctor Doom
Dr. Doom is a must for every top villains list. I enjoy his battles against the Fantastic Four because he is a formidable enemy. I like the “mad scientist” type villains who are master strategists and create or search for powerful weapons to use to fulfill their goals of conquest. He’s just an awesome villain. 5. – Mr. Sinister
Although he isn’t a well known villain, I’ve always liked him the best out of the X-Men villains. He was my favorite one from the cartoon show back in the 90′s because he wasn’t popular, yet he was powerful and very smart. Here’s his bio from the Marvel Universe Wiki.
