it’s almost like they just started it over :/, it wont be the same without Tobey
Reasons to be skeptical about this film (from info in articles, interviews, screen stills and comic con footage)
Peter Parker rides a skateboard and looks like a tool (not comic accurate/ CA)
Gwen Stacy works at Oscorp (not CA)
Captain Stacy will see Spidey as vigalante (not CA)
Marc Webb’s arrogance and lack of experience
@undeadxsoldier127 You are right it won’t be the same without Tobey MaGuire because it will in fact be much better.
Tobey was a terrible choice to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man and every real Spider-Man fan hated him in the role! Tobey played the part totally wrong, he looked nothing like Peter from the comics and cartoons, his voice is way too annoying, and he is a crap actor.
Tobey will always be known as the worst actor to ever play Peter Parker/Spider-Man!
Glad to see web shooters on the costume. The trailer seems to suggest that they’re gonna do something with the Man-Spider (don’t remember what it was called, but when Peter’s genes continued to mutate). Take into account that they’re doing the Jekyll and Hyde thing with Lizard already, and it makes sense. Not sure about this movie, but still excited to see it.
@undeadxsoldier127 They did start over. They firebombed the franchise with that last movie. The black suit was about anger and hate, not about dancing and being emo. Tobey Maguire is not a great actor and was not a good fit for the Spider-Man character. He had the nerdy part down well enough, but had none of the wit or charm.
@aHarvify Firstly, Peter does get his powers in high school in this movie. Secondly, Mary Jane wasn’t always a part of the Spider-Man comics. She became a regular from issue 42 of the Amazing Spider-Man comics and before that she made just one cameo appearance. This film shows Peter’s life before MJ came on the scene. Thirdly, Spider-Man comics were overall more dark and serious as opposed to light and cheesy, so therefore the darker look of this movie is the correct way to go.
Just release the second trailer already !
