Hey movie buffs, Tatiana Carrier here for Clevver Movies. For those of you not in the comic loop, last September DC comics "reboot" their entire universe taking 52 of their characters and creating all new #1's. That's right. Last August we had Batman #712 on the comic book shelves, the next month, we got to start over with issue #1. It was across the board, all of the companies heavy hitters got to start fresh. . Comic book fans everywhere at first were very much against this idea. In fact, even now, some fans are completely repulsed by the idea and lack of continuity as some would say. Needless to say, this was a ballsy move on DC's part. But they needed to do something. Their stories were all over the place, and sales were down. Way down. They needed to find a way to clean things up and give a new audience a place where they could start reading from. And I'm happy to say, that it paid off, in a big way. . Some comic book shop owners were saying that they would sell six DC comics to one Marvel comic. Even if Marvel was dominating the movie theatres this summer over DC, the same couldn't be said in the comic book stores. DC had managed to reel in a whole new crowd of fans.
